Several clients have come to us having been the victim of unwanted publicity and (literal) exposure on the internet. While nearly everyone is familiar with youtube, there is also a very prevelant subgenre of similar sites hosting private videos provided by subscribers; were there censorship of private videos these would certainly be X rated and not necessarily something one would want viewed by people to whom they were known
One client in particular, having been involved in a very private relationship with a consenting adult was a party to their sexual activity being filmed. Having been promised that this was for private use they were of course shocked to later learn that their casual partner at the time had uploaded the various explicit films to a viewing site which was accessible by almost any adult. What started as a private issue was now a public one, potentially detrimental to our client's professional and personal life. Pleas for the subscriber to remove the videos had not had an effect and requests to the site host had been ignored
Through some very discreet investigation and gentle handling we were not only able to ensure that the subscriber removed the videos but also that all copies, whether on the original computer or otherwise, were destroyed so that there would be no repetition, and no further threat to our client's reputation or wellbeing
